You are supporting OPs point - many don’t consider Cornell to be an Ivy.

The Ivy League does. There is no such thing as the W School League, though.

It definitely is and I'd rather my kids go there than one of the more segregated schools with all the hate crime.

Sorry I should have said a "real" Ivy.

Best analogy is that WJ is like the dancer at the strip club with arm pit hair. From the distance she looks as fine as the rest of the dancers, but when you get close you see that she just doesn't handle the basics as well as the rest.

ROTFL. What will it be when they rezone the parkwood neighborhood to Einstein and the garrett park neighborhood to woodward?

Please don't pick on the Kensington Parkwood crowd. That group gets fired up like no one else. Remember the post that called them the "Whitest School in Maryland?"

I wish someone compared my kids DCC HS to Cornell. I would be thrilled

Anonymous wrote:WJ is a little bit more diverse than the other W schools (not counting BCC the honorary W), a little bit less of a pressure cooker, yet still full of high-achieving kids.

I'm a WJ parent and from what I've observed WJ parents are probably not as hard-core as Whitman or Churchill parents. We chose the WJ catchment area for this very reason.
