| ^and Visi was missing players - Stj is not any indication of season play. |

Anyone that thinks indoor 7v7 with odd lineups, and no draws or quarters tells you much about Spring is just showing their lacrosse ignorance…
Yea it’s fun to win, but it’s a different game. |
| So you think a team could be awesome at 7v7 but really terrible in full-field lax? Not buying it. These games are not the same, but they're still a very strong indicator of strength. The only caveat is the delta of starters that didn't play. |
It gives a decent indication but no draws is huge. And no team that consistently gets beat handedly will do well against the big guns in the spring. And every school is different with how they set up their teams for indoor. Some don't bring freshmen to their top varsity teams and just do varsity returners others don't. Then some are very fluid with their rosters. |
If Potomac had stronger coaching, they would be the ones to watch out for. Incredible talent on that team. (Not a Potomac parent, I swear) |
I bet Potomac was missing players too. It’s off season indoor league. The excuse of “missing players” applies to every team. |
Especially this time of year when many girls are spending weekends at prospect camps, especially the sophomores. |
| It's a holiday weekend for a lot of people. It's safe to say most of the teams were missing players. |
| How does St Johns look this year? Will they compete for the #2 spot in the WCAC after GC again? Anyone have a hierarchy with PVI, BI based on who lost talent and who is coming up? |
I'd say they are #2 behind GC right now with BI #3 and PVI #4th based on how many left each of those schools after last year due to graduation/transfers. GC lost the least and PVI lost the most to graduation. BI could give SJC a good run for #2 with their transfers but that is yet to be seen full field; hopefully new BI coach is better than the last. Goalie will be key for all teams - GC has one of the top frosh in the Cap goalie and should sure up their weak spot. BI and SJC have new goalies and PVI goalie was decent as a frosh last year. |
| PVI will be in rebuild mode and could slip to 4 behind BI. SJC should beat BI. They didn’t get that much better. |
Agree with this assessment. And will add, GC should beat everyone in the league unless they show up flat footed. |
Mostly agree; depth development is an issue at SJC. Never really saw SJC subbing at all in tight games, which really tires out the midfield and makes replacing the graduated seniors all the more important. GC depth is what keeps them #1 over the others. 26 class is deep at GC and they just got a Cap Blue 27 transfer attacker. SJC Yale commit is probably 2nd best player in conference behind GC NW Commit and it is a fun matchup to watch. Both are highly talented midfielders. |
Not sure how a freshman who began school there in September and whose older sister is already enrolled there could be considered a transfer. However, girl got skills. |
Because she went public for first semester???? Literal definition of transfer as she changed schools. You must be thinking of someone else. |
