Remember the most recent hire at Paint Branch High School.

They won’t pull a principal mid year from another school to fill the position, will they?

If the principal applies for the position and is the best candidate, I don't see why not.

It leaves an opening at another school which isn't ideal - just impacts another community too.

I think I understand the timing of Baker's resignation now. She has a Principal Intern and would be leaving the school for the spring term anyway to allow for the Principal Intern to run the school. Since she will be gone anyway, why not retire at the end of the first semester?

I think the intern only is there for 6 weeks tho?

Principal interns are there for the whole school year, but they serve as acting principal for about 6 weeks in December-January, after which time the principal returns to run the school the remainder of the year.

Well that blows my theory mostly out of the water but doesn’t explain why she is leaving December 1 instead of once school gets out for winter break!

Why is this still being discussed? She is retiring December 1st because she can and she wants to. I know people are upset but it won't change the outcome.

'Cause DCUM has a primal need to pick at bones.
