So you would like a pit bull that isn't aggressive..lol
NP. What PP said and also because the Pitts are just ugly. A face and body only their blind mother can love.

+1
Seriously hideous dogs.

Besides everything else, who in the world thinks these dogs are cute?

We can all find a bad picture of a dog. Haven't you taken a picture of your child and thought whew that picture didn't show them in a good light?

You can't deny that these are super cute!

These are cute enough because they're very young puppies, and they're not that cute compared to similarly aged puppies of pretty much any other breed.

How about this dog? Xoloitzcuintli..

Goldens are my absolute favorite. Beagles and Havanese are cute.

I was scared of large dogs as a child and GSD, Rottweilers and the like still scare me a bit.

Xolos are not cute and have crappy personalities. Thankfully, they're also very rare.

I love terriers, especially Jack Russells. I love how they are playful, stubborn, smart, and full of personality. All my dogs have been terrier mutts.

I’m not a fan of slobbery breeds nor the overbred snubnoses that seem like they’re struggling to breathe at all times like pugs or bulldogs. I don’t love Huskies either, they are sweet but seem a bit dumb… pomsky (pomeranian + husky) is getting popular and while they are sweet they really are a bit dumb.

Now you are moving the goal posts! We can all agree some pit bulls/mixes ate cuter than xolos!

I dont think huskies are dumb. My pit/husky is super smart

love most dogs that are well trained, spaniels are the best, and i don't mind a doodle or two mixed with a spaniel

dislike power breeds in the hands of inexperienced owners, especially unpredictable pit bulls (for that matter, find rescues that place these pets without proper vetting to be irresponsible)

Give me a rez dog/mutt any day. Our dog’s DNA is all over the place and she came from a shelter in Farmington, NM.

No, they’re equally ugly. Pit bulls manage to look hairless and gross, just like Xolos. And actually Xolos look like their personality is aces, though I have never met one personally so I can’t vouch for even an anecdote. https://www.akc.org/dog-breeds/xoloitzcuintli/

You got us PP. You found a dog, a breed of which I've never seen in person, that is equally ugly to the pitbulls which make up 80% of the dogs in my neighborhood and 99% of the dogs in my local shelter.

Anonymous wrote:Love Huskies, Samoyeds, Labs, Retrievers, sometimes Vischlas. Also love Great Danes though would never have one.

Dislike terriers, schnauzers, all kinds of poodles/doodles, bulldogs, pit bulls and all pit mixes, Australian shepherds (actually most herding breeds), there are others I can't think of.

When I say "dislike" I don't mean I am going to hate every dog in that breed, just that I've found our temperaments don't tend to mix well and I wouldn't adopt one. Most of the breeds I dislike have been bred for certain behaviors that I find irritating.

I'm neutral on grey hounds. They are more similar to the dogs I tend to like but I think like vischlas, there could be an issue with the level of exercise they demand. Also most grey hound owners I've met have been kind of different and that makes me think it's a kind of bespoke dog breed that maybe doesn't suit a lot of people. Also like Great Danes, I believe they have a lot of health issues associated with the breed.

Greyhounds sleep 18-22 hours a day. They’re fine with several short walks or one long one. Zoomies are enough to satisfy their desire to run. They don’t even need a lot of space for a zoomie; they’ll spin around in a tight circle. They’re fine in small living spaces.

Greyhounds have some unique health issues (they’re almost the only dog breed that can get corns on their paw pads), but they’re not particularly prone to serious issues. They’re bred very selectively to be pretty robust.

Thanks for this (PP here). I obviously don't know a ton about them and was just going on the ones I've met and what I've randomly heard. But hearing how much they sleep makes sense because the greyhound owners I know are all very introverted with serious jobs (including several doctors who work long hours out of the house).

Pit bulls are made up of five different breeds not including mutts so comparison is unfair.
