The Brooks

The Brooks shelter needs to have an enforced zero tolerance policy for drugs and crime, including in the vicinity of the shelter.

Wegman’s is fortunate that it is tucked back into private property so management can keep the vagrants away. With Giant, the public sidewalk is right next to the store.

It’s kind of wild because I have a really good and stable job, but the only places I could afford to rent in W3 are apparently at risk of being de facto homeless shelters. If it comes down to it I may have to really stretch my budget to rent in City Ridge. I do not begrudge the city taking care of its homeless at all, but this is a truly f’d up scenario that is really screwing the middle class.

That’s hilarious. Jackson Reed is a terrible school. Why not just use that money to send your kid to private school?

Because I still have to pay rent somewhere? An extra $1000/month doesn’t cover private school …

Ward 3 remains a nice place to live and go to school. Many people in Cleveland Park do send their kids to private school after elementary though.

I love how Fruman sprinkles criminals around Ward 3 bc his former law firm partner said he did't want to live in Ward 3. The criminals then destroy the qol in every building they inhabit as well as the Qol on the surrounding blacks.

I do not blame the criminals. They must make hay while the sun is shining - they have a white, wealth and willing population to prey upon, and a DC gov that will ensure there are no consequences. These are the salad days for DC's criminals.

He puts them all over Ward 3 except AU Park. Naturally.

Yeah, bc the people in AU Park are not wealthy.

It’s just where he lives. He’s a very uncomplicated person.

Frumin thinks that he was elected as an At-Large Council member, rather than as the member for Ward 3. The only time that he really goes to bat for local interests is to protect his own neighborhood. This has been true throughout his prior work on DC boards. When he was on the DCPS redistricting panel he piously talked about inclusion and sharing the burden in Ward 3 but made sure that his local Janney Elem was safeguarded while other Ward schools were dropped from Deal Middle School. He called it “sacrifice” and regrettable collateral damage. Are neighborhoods other than his AU Park the collateral damage today for his vision of making Ward 3 more welcoming to all, including the crime, drugs and social disorder caused by an overconcentration of vouchers and similar initiatives with no plan to address the criminality and disorder that’s risen in some Ward 3 neighborhoods?

The only thing I have ever needed to know about Frumin is that Cheh knew him very well and was the last person to endorse him and she only did so unenthusiastically.

I’ve seen a few panhandlers in front of the Wegmans!!

Yes it’s definitely white guilt that endorses this decline in the quality of life.

If you have a house, yes. Not at all for the people in apartments. That's why most of Ward 3--especially Frump--doesn't care.
