Someone with sense!!!! |
I’m an adult and this annoys me too. It must be nice to be a man and be able to throw on whatever swimsuit without any prep or pre-planning because your body is socially acceptable in its natural state. |
Your man doesn't manscape? I wear pretty skimpy bikinis and don't think trimming my bikini line is a big effort. And if my body is worth your attention I feel bad for you. |
I think the point is that pubic areas that may or may not be “manscaped” are not visible in standard men’s swimwear. No so for women. |
Great, not a big effort for you. The PP's statement is not about you, you, you. How about some variation in bottom for those that want it? |
I gave up on swimwear this summer and took my husband to Pine Tree in Annapolis and bared it all. Awkward air first, after 10 minutes I couldn't care. Being naked with others who weren't judging me was relaxing and quite enjoyable. I never thought I'd be able to do this, but here I am. Hubby seemed to enjoy himself as well. He was more awkward than I. Going back this weekend to ensure we are comfortable with our decision to partake in social nudity. |
We've been to Pine Tree and found a great community of open minded adults. Their weekend events are great, especially their pool parties and bands. Hard to believe this place exists in many of our backyards, and so few people know of it! |
I’m in the 21401 zip code and have known about Pine Tree for years, but never took the plunge. How was it? |
Why doesn’t she just shave then? I’m not understanding the issue. |
You’re gross and the point is that it’s totally inappropriate that there are no OPTIONS for people who don’t want to shave (no matter their age). |
DP. I wax, but I’ve never been able to shave that area without getting awful razor bumps and ingrowns (coarse hair and sensitive skin). |
Oh my what a great place. Like yourself knew that it existed but never gave it much thought. Reading some of the postings here made us consider visiting. And believe me, we are questioning ourselves why we didn't explore Pine Tree sooner. Understand from talking with people at the pool that the new manager has made great strides to turn the place around. Supposedly the previous manager was a train wreck and only wanted people she deemed "pretty people" at Pine Tree. Apparently that backfired on her and she found herself on the outside looking in. Enough of that drama.... Pine Tree is a cross between Cape Claire Swim Club and the South River Golf Club, only Pine Tree doesn't have a golf course, but Pine Tree does have great Pickleball and tennis courts, disc golf, pool volleyball, a great restaurant, camp ground, and lodging options. It seems that every weekend is a party or event of some sort, and not very expensive. The age range of people at Pine Tree is 30-70, there are a few folks in the 4th quarter so to speak, and even less that are in overtime. Everyone we met were friendly and welcoming. We were told this is very common amongst nudists. We're strongly considering membership as Pine Tree is a year round club with indoor and outdoor pools, a huge hot tub and parties for Halloween, Christmas, New Years Eve and Valentines Day. For those of us empty-nesters it's a great place to meet people and make friends. The pool parties we've attended were far more fun than any we've attended at swim clubs in Arundel County. I say step outside your comfort zone and experience life as others are enjoying it. |
I really don't like it when I'm at a resort and women wear the thongs with a net or fully open crochet cover up near the buffet. Fecal matter near food should not be a thing. Your butt should at least have a layer of fabric on it if you want to get some eggs for breakfast inside in a restaurant from a buffet.
I don't love it on the beach, but, oh well. |
I just spent a week in a thong and no top. I don’t understand you fecal matter fear. Sounds a little extreme. |
Okay, but pits and leg hair, too? This isn’t a new problem, teens aren’t all that happy with the hair or just covering it up, so they shave. If mom can’t help, they get advice from each other. Honestly my son wasn’t that different in the pre-teen years, basically would avoid all swimming and wear pants in summer, until he was old enough not to care. I think even arm hair annoyed him. |
