Doesn't it illustrate the point that the current system is broken?

The system works when people follow the law and get punished when they violate the law. Biden's family illustrates a complete disregard for the law.

DP... Biden was only flagged because he's a high-profile individual who since day one has had a Republican crosshair on his back.

There are millions of Americans who lied on their gun paperwork. I personally know of quite a few gun owners who I know for a fact smoke weed, were dishonorably discharged, have had outstanding warrants, have had PFAs and restraining orders against them and so on.

The system is indeed very very broken.

How is it a stiff sentence?

Really? He was not flagged because a thousand newly hired IRS agents actually doing their jobs and reporting the crime.

Did you personally report those people? You see, for the system to work everyone needs to follow the law. For you to say the system is broken, are you implying that HB is convicted (or getting convicted) not because he committed the crime, but because the system is broken? If he is indeed innocent, why he would not plead not guilty and go to trial?

Said agents haven't/hadn't been hired yet.

From this thread one would almost think Republicans wanted to talk about gun safety.

But then you’d remember nahhh man, gun safety is for Black people and Democrats. More guns for kindergartners!

That which current system is broken?

-gun control
-tax
-child support
-nepotism
-foreign agent registration
-lobbying registration
-controlled substances
-prostitution
-code of military conduct

Because Hunter broke all of them. On film no less.

Exactly. And the Republicans scuttled it as part of the debt limit deal. And worse yet, not having the IRS agents will increase the deficit because millionaires and billionaires are able to get away with more and more tax cheating due to not enough enforcement.

Trump is also charged with breaking tax laws.

Trump's charges are a lot more serious to this nation than HB's charges.

He lied on federal form 4311 firearm background check. Then he ditched a .38 caliber Colt revolver in a trash bin near a school according to a police report and when he went to retrieve it, it was gone.

Do you think anyone else would get that deal?

What responsibility is he taking?

He's a crackhead dishonorably discharged from the Navy. What exactly is his payment to society?

He is pleading guilty. He is cooperating with the IRS.

Accountability.

He isn't deflecting and he isn't throwing people under the bus.

Hey! Isn’t that the guy who asked Hunter Biden to help his kid get into college?

I am so happy to see the GOP so concerned with gun restrictions.

You got what you wanted, justice. Now the right wing needs to finally stop yammering about him and the rest of us can go back to all of the Trump family crimes that have NOT been prosecuted or had any plea entered on them.

No more "yabut Hunter..."

What did "the left" think would be appropriate?
