SJC NL 2025 attack, STA NL 2025 LSM,Bullis DCE best 2025 D, and PVI Madlax 2025 LSM are all very good as well. |
Summer rankings guesses for 24 season:
Tier 1 1. Prep 2. SJC 3. Landon Close between 1-2. Hopefully they play. Tier 2 4. Gonzaga 5. PVI 6. Episcopal 7. Bullis Tier Mostly Next Level 8. DeMatha 9. SSSAS 10. STA 11. Heights |
Unless you know something that others don't, I see Prep dropping off a fair amount next Spring. They arguably graduated the best attackman in the country in Kabari and Burn's wasn't too shabby himself either. Not to mention their entire first midfield has also graduated as well as their goalie. Saint Stephens will be better next year as they didn't graduate anyone. |
Any NHSLS updates? |
It looks to be a soggy event. |
PVI not the same team as last season |
look for SJC to repeat again next Spring.
While PVI graduated a solid squared this spring, they had a very strong JV team this year and do have a few key pieces back. They will run toe to toe with Gonzaga next spring. |
Did Prep transfer(s) play? |
People should not put too much into NHSLS every year some teams play better then bomb in the spring, some play worse and are better in the spring. I have not checked yet but let me guess STA is having a great showing at NHSLS...I rest my case. |
What transfers? |
Agree |
STA won their first two games but lost badly to Chaminade from NY. Chaminade had 21 Seniors that were accepted to D1 schools but have plenty of replacements. I'm not sure STA had a rising Senior play today. STA has some good young players that will have to develop this year, but should be middle of the pack this year. They could surprise in 2025. |
Why do STA boosters keep setting themselves up for disappointment. STA does not have the potential to do anything successful in the near future, they had the best team they have had in decades this year and they tied for last place in the IAC. The 2025 class has nothing on this year’s handful of decent senior players. They will not be a winning team or even middle of the pack (that is a sad goal) next year or in 2025 unless a whole new team in recruited in. They just lack the depth and talent that other teams have. Sorry, but that’s just a reality. |
I thought the STA team from 2022 team was better than this year's team as they were much more athletic across the board.
They got off to a great start in March with some good wins over MIAA St. Pauls, Gilman, and Spalding... had a pretty successful road trip in Texas against good competition as well and beat rival Bullis for the first time in a while and also played Gonzaga very close this year. STAs lack of depth really hurt them as the season carried on. STA is not like Bullis or Landon or GP who can bring in transfers every year or get a bunch of incoming 9th graders in the front door. No need to venture down this door. At least STA is now competing whereas a few years ago they were losing to IAC teams by 10+ goals. |
STA still loses to some IAC teams by 10 points and last place in IAC does not really equate to being able to compete. Technically STA has a boarding program, although very small and not attractive, so they could have the advantage of boarders if they wanted. Smaller schools like Episcopal, SSSA, and Landon have all had more successful IAC seasons recently, so there is no real excuse. And the age old “We’re smarter than you” excuse from STA boosters is not accurate, there are plenty of super smart lacrosse kids. STA just doesn’t attract them. Maybe STA is just more suited for the MAC? |
