Or are people not carrying very much in them? I usually carry a snack for my kid and often also a water bottle for her and a book for me, which is why I generally carry a small backpack instead of a purse.

No, it doesn’t move at all. I keep my phone keys money, maybe passport and when I’m traveling, etc.

Thanks for reminding me to get a spring one. I wear them on my neighborhood walks when my clothes don't have pockets. With my studio discount it's only $36.

OP has the right idea to embrace this -- it's practical and comfortable and fashionable at the same time. It's like white sneakers with dresses -- hooray, woot!

Also, we're talking about wearing them with casual outfits (jeans + t, athleisure, etc.) in causal settings (playground, picking up kids, errands). They really don't look stupid with those outfits in those settings. Stick with something small without outside pockets like the lululemon ebb. And naturally it's going to be more flattering across the chest than slung over the lower stomach for a lot of women, although yes of course body types differ.

Haven’t read all the comments, but this look was all over Europe for both men and women years ago…so naturally we are behind in the trend.
