So we’re all just doing this huh?

I love them for travel and exercise. Also in big cities, less likely to be robbed.

Agreed!

Also agree. I refuse to get on the fanny pack bandwagon. I don't care what's popular - I care what I think looks good or bad, and this looks awful.

I feel its siren call a little but some versions of seeing this in the wild are giving me doubts. Also what if I'm not cool enough...

Girl I’m an A cup. It lays perfectly flat on me and looks fine . If you have large breasts, maybe not for you.

It’s not. But how else are the cooler than thou supposed to fashion police fanny packs, for god’s sake, if they don’t completely alter how we wear them?

- add me to team busty and won’t be doing this

Ha! I have no chest so could totally get away with it, but this is a trend people will look back at and cringe. Along with grown-ass women wearing those headbands with the knot on top.

I used to think they were silly but I tried it and love it. I switched to crossbody bags a few years ago but this is even more comfortable, does not get in your way at all. Perfect for traveling or when you’ll be in very busy situations.

A poster above asked why people don’t wear it as a Fanny pack. I have a small pooch. I would look so frumpy wearing this as a Fanny. Not saying it looks great the other way but it’s better. I don’t have a big chest so that may be part of it.

Truly confident and attractive people can wear what they like without constantly having to worry about whether it looks “good” or not. It’s a friggin BAG.

Yes, and I don’t like it because I think it looks bad. Fanny packs are a weird shape and I don’t like how they look on people.

Truly confident people don’t pay attention to what other people are wearing.

Well most of all y’all’s bags are ugly as sin so i wouldn’t be hating.

oh good, finally a thread where i can anonymously say how stupid this looks. i see it everywhere now and i still do a double take every time. don't care if your chest is big or small--it's weird.

and even weirder that everyone has jumped on the bandwagon...

Especially if I'm wearing a midi dress, or t-shirt dress.

Don't care what people think. It's just too convenient.

Another Fanny pack wearer. I ditched my purse at the beginning of the pandemic and pared down the essentials. Mine’s small enough to fit my phone, very small wallet and hair clip. It’s so convenient and light weight!

It's incredibly convenient and comfortable!

OP here. I think I've concluded that the shape of an actual fanny pack makes this unappealing to me, but I'm interested in that moon-shaped bag from Uniqlo. I do have some travel coming up it would be perfect for (I love nylon purses for travel because they pack down small and are so lightweight).

One question I have is how people keep them from always sliding down under your armpit? When I see it on other people, the bag is always on their back or their chest. But I'm thinking that you throw a phone, keys, and a couple other items in these bags and they just want to drop down to the lowest point of the "sling", yes? Or are people not carrying very much in them? I usually carry a snack for my kid and often also a water bottle for her and a book for me, which is why I generally carry a small backpack instead of a purse.

You can’t fit all that in one. I have my phone, small billfold to hold cards, and maybe a lipgloss in mine. They’re small and light. If you need a book and water and all that then yeah it won’t work for you.
