Don Lemon fired at CNN

Anonymous
Don Lemon was annoying, patronizing, and arrogant. At least with Tucker Carlson you could laugh at his ludicrousness.

No offense, but how old are you? And, are you male or female.

I am guessing a female in her mid-20's.

I am guy-
28 year old

Ah, that explains it!

So you can make generalizations about the age of men but you are all defensive when the same was said about a woman. Don’t you understand that hypocrisy like that weakens your own case? How about we don’t make generalizations about age no matter the gender?

He’ll sue and claim racism. Watch

As well he should, because it was CLEARLY racially motivated.

You’re telling me a network can just fire the most well known Black anchor on the air and just be like “what? It wasn’t racial. Just business.”

BS. Lemon was fired to being Black and speaking his mind.

He also got into a ridiculous argument with Vivek a few days ago. You can look that up.

The only one who was ridiculous was Vivek, who says the Civil War was fought so that Black people could have guns, and that the NRA guaranteed Black people's freedom.

Don Lemon’s response was nothing but you can’t say that or have that opinion because I’m black. He didn’t make any legitimate points.

This is what did it for cnn. Not the fight but the producers told him over his ear piece to stop and end the segment. He said on air stop talking in my ear I can’t think. Then he called Vivek — a whatever you are. It was not the argument it was not listening when they told him to wrap it up and he did not listen and said something dumb.

This plus guests were starting to not book if he was there.

I don't think the jailed Jan6 insurrectionists are laughing at Tucker's "ludicrousness".

He didn't say Vivek couldn't have an opinion. But Lemon did respond when Vivek said this:

“The part that I find insulting,” Ramaswamy said, “is when you say today Black Americans don’t have those rights after we have gone through civil rights revolution in this country.”

And Don Lemon responded:

“The fact that I find insulting,” Lemon said, “is that you are sitting here telling an African American about the rights and what you find insulting about the way I live, the skin I live in every day, and I know the freedoms that Black and white — that Black people don’t have in this country and that Black people do have.”

Here’s the thing. Pp is commenting on the poster’s youth because it explains a lack of judgement, ie, too young to know better. Lemon’s comment about Nikki Hayley was in a conversation about suitability for the office of president. He called her “past her prime” because he literally could not evaluate a woman on any basis other than her sexuality. Is a woman in her fifties “past her prime” if you’re judging her on her fertility or physical attractiveness? Arguably so. But that has nothing to do with her mental fitness for public office. It is easy to argue that a woman in her fifties is literally in her prime for such a role. But Lemon’s comments made it clear that he can’t think of a woman and see her mental abilities. He only sees her as an object for looking at. And the fact that he doubled down after being criticized for his comments boggles my mind. He deserved to be fired.

Yes that all makes sense. The problem is when people just pass on the hate in retaliation rather than see the ignorance in it.

DP Just look at pro sports. Those athletes are in their prime from about 24-28. This is when you are at your peak mentally and physically. Peak strength and speed. This declines after 28. Mentally it is a very slow decline after 25 to about 35. The decline is so little it is more like a peak. After about 45 it is a steady decline.

This was not what Don Lemon was talking about.

I seriously don't think it was this. He's been on the chopping block for a while; the only question was when.

Nobody is getting fired over offending Vivek lol.
