No offense, but how old are you? And, are you male or female.

I am guessing a female in her mid-20's.

I am guy-
28 year old

Ah, that explains it!

So you can make generalizations about the age of men but you are all defensive when the same was said about a woman. Don’t you understand that hypocrisy like that weakens your own case? How about we don’t make generalizations about age no matter the gender?

Here’s the thing. Pp is commenting on the poster’s youth because it explains a lack of judgement, ie, too young to know better. Lemon’s comment about Nikki Hayley was in a conversation about suitability for the office of president. He called her “past her prime” because he literally could not evaluate a woman on any basis other than her sexuality. Is a woman in her fifties “past her prime” if you’re judging her on her fertility or physical attractiveness? Arguably so. But that has nothing to do with her mental fitness for public office. It is easy to argue that a woman in her fifties is literally in her prime for such a role. But Lemon’s comments made it clear that he can’t think of a woman and see her mental abilities. He only sees her as an object for looking at. And the fact that he doubled down after being criticized for his comments boggles my mind. He deserved to be fired.

It's interesting that we have an 80 year old president that is running for a 2nd term w/ his most likely opponent being a man in his late 70s and Lemmon is commenting on Hayley being past her prime in her early 50's. WTF. So once women hit menopause, just take them out to pasture and call it a day. They're good for nothing? Disgusting misogyny.

Here’s the thing:

Lemon went after her because she’s a Republican.

There’s no way he would have gone after a female Dem in the same way.

He’s more anti-R than anti-woman.

He’s still a jerk. And jerks aren’t entitled to be on tv. You need to be liked.

He may hate Republicans more than women, but he still demeaned all women by saying Haley was past her prime. He could have said he dislike her policies. Not said basically, she isn't hot enough.

Yeah, most people actually thought it was funny because every guy would have said the same thing.

Nope. Only certain "types" of guys.

That's correct. Guys who like fine, young women.

And obviously a gay, Black man thinks it. Any real man with class would know what not to say aloud on tv.

His intention was political. Do you think he would have said that about Kamala? Hillary?

PP here. Yes, I totally get that. He thought he was immune from criticism because she's a southern Republican.
