Kamala Harris and VP expectations

Anonymous
Believing that Joe Biden can replace Kamala Harris on the 2024 ticket and still get re-elected is like me believing I could win the Cy Young award if I just cut my right arm off and sewed on Nolan Ryan’s right arm. Yeah, maybe in some alternate comic book reality. If I attempted this IRL, however, it would be a complete sh*tshow and I would probably bleed out and die.

There’s no way to get from here to there without causing an incredible amount of irreversible damage along the way.

Is there a way to change running mates while giving her (and the ticket) a soft landing?

No. But you will feel much better about Kamala Harris when you see who Donald Trump picks for his VP, I promise!

LOL. You think Trump will be nominated.

He absolutely will be the nominee. Which is why people care about 80-something Joe Biden's VP. He's old. She's incompetent. And another Trump term will tear this country apart. It's a problem. The VP does actually matter in this situation. And no, she can't be replaced. Gift to republicans. Biden senility and Harris gaffes. The commercials write themselves. I think people are being way too sanguine about how weak this ticket is

I voted for her but even I (NOTHING about race) cringe every time I see her in an interview or as a speaker and she either can't form a clear sentence or laughs oddly. I mean, it's just weird? Also Biden is too old and too a few other things. This is a mess...

Any VO is better than Pence, the right hand man of Trump. Any President is better than Trump the insurrection planner, organizer, and promoter.

Pence was totally cringe inducing. I thought Gore was robotic. Pence is robotic with no natural or Artificial Intelligence. Trump is not only old but also soon to be convinced criminal (once the cases go through the court process and he exhausts all of his due process rights.

Kamala is fine. Biden is fine. Take your fake rhetoric elsewhere.

I was at a function Gore attended. He, like many politicians and celebrities (not all), seemed very different in person — personable/approachable versus robotic. That isn’t enough to judge a person’s ability to lead the country (I supported him), but I remember thinking he didn’t fit his media portrayal at least at that time.

Just fine is not fine.

How has her plan to fix the root causes of illegal immigration going???

She is useless. Whatever this plan was is an utter failure as is her tenure as VP.

This immigration thing was a set up to make a sister look bad.

Kamala didn’t take the bait.

She’s a smart operator working against dark forces.

“Smart” is not her. So let’s decide not to really do anything about the border issue after being asked to do something by her boss? Yeah, sounds like a competent person.

Since when are there expectations for a VP?

Since we have an 80 YO president with evident cognitive issues who is running for reelection.
The VP matters.
His cognitive health is not going to improve. It will only deteriorate.
And, she hasn't instilled any confidence that she is up to the task.
