Brett and Tiffany seem great and normal and connected. I hope they make it like Lauren and whatever his name was from season 1. [Statistically, the first engaged couple seems to make it]

Chelsea and Kwame - they seem like the Bartise / Nancy thing where Kwame's pride was so hurt. He wanted to be wanted. I don't think Micah would be a good match for him, but I think that he doesn't like that she rejected him. Micah does not want him, but she likes being pursued and wanted. So, she keeps dangling the carrot.

Micah has no interest in Paul. He is not her type, but she wanted to "win" and when Paul was still talking to Amber, she wanted to cut that off so she was the winner. She just knows she has to be picked to stay on the show.

Same with Irina. She had no interest in Zach, but someone else liking him meant she had to win. She was horrible to him and did not seem to ever really want to be with him. She did not appreciate his dork side in the same way that other people seem to be able to find connection / humor in a partner who shares different interests. Everything she said was just cruel and bratty.

I also don't see why people thought Zach was creepy. He was nerdy and weird. He is socially awkward, but not creepy. The singing was WOW - no. But, he could have found someone who was more into who he was.

I see Josh come back (feels so Andrew and Nancy), but no mention of Amber. I wish Paul and Amber would connect again. He seems nice and normal and should totally be with someone there for the right reason. I don't think Bliss sticks around. Zach was right that she deserves someone who picks her.

Jackie and Marshall --- she is sabotaging -- rings a little Mallory to me. She knows he is good and nice and stable and will take the abuse. But he does seem to care for her. I hope they can get it together.

It will be interesting to see if the claws come out more when Micah feels threatened by Irina. I hate them both, so that would feel nice. It is interesting to see the jealousy and hurt feelings more this year. It feels more real to what would happen but also more fake.

Great analysis! Agree with almost everything but didn't like Amber. Paul (kind of like Clint from the current season of MAFS) seems to want a sporty/outdoorsy type.

Episodes 6-8, March 31st; 9-11, April 7th; Finale April 14th.

I love that Irina has outed herself as trash for the world to see. With a lumpy body and face like hers, she should have been more kind and humble. She deserves her roasting on Reddit. Imagine someone who looks like her, behaving this way on national tv. She’s just asking to be ripped to shreds! If she had been a nicer person, no one would have dreaded of mentioning her acne scarred pocked face or fat rolls galore. Now? Lol honey. You deserve it! Zach is weird, but she’s just mean.

I am the PP who is overanalyzing the first few minutes of the first episode. Historically those first few minutes are only showing couples who get engaged. And even though they only show Amber for a few seconds, I think it's a sign. I also think it's Paul who says "I was engaged to someone and now I want to propose to someone else."

So many thoughts! I can't wait for the reunion this seems like the messiest group so far.

Tiffany and Brett - Wonderful, I think that they are still together, regardless of whether they actually got married. I think they might be my favorite couple in the history of the show (I also like Lauren and Cameron but think they are kind of cheesy)

Marshall and Jackeline - I think she clearly has some STUFF going on at home. Reading between a lot of lines (read, I am making a lot of assumptions and I know it so won't be surprised if this is totally off base) I think she came on this show to get Netflix famous and likely a lot of people are counting on her to 'breakout' and be able to support them. I think she is struggling with this expectation and probably understanding intuitively that she doesn't get to go star in 15 netflix reality shows if she ends up married to Marshall. But he has real feelings for him. I think 50/50 on them. I think odds are high she gets back into the real world and sucked into her own drama and withdraws and turns up on Too Hot to Handle next summer. He is not really my cup of tea but whatever, I think the clips of her saying they don't have sex and his asking her about sex before marriage are red flags though and likely mean they would have been doomed anyway.

Kwame and Chelsea - What a pick me man. Gross. Worst guy. Should have pulled out after the Micah break up but led Chelsea on. I think he hooks up with Micah and that breaks up both relationships. Chelsea deserves MUCH better. That said if there is a dark horse of the season to marry a la Colleen and Matt I think it is these two. Chelsea, while very self assured, does not appear to see him clearly enough. I can easily see her saying yes at the alter if he plays along correctly and being devastated watching the season back now.

Paul - He doesn't really deserve an individual thought but can't be lumped in with Micah. He is like, aggressively fine and boring. I do think Amber makes an appearance and if I were betting I would say that if he has dated anyone in the show post weddings it is Amber. I would be SHOCKED if he and Micah got married. I doubt they make it much farther. I think Zach and Irina breaking up is kind of a precedent setter, IE, if no one else in the season has broken up the producers can convince you to stick around but if someone else just broke up and you are miserable you are more likely to be looking for loopholes.

Micah - Young, wants to be famous, did this on a lark. Thinks that the whole process is a joke and so has been pretending the whole time and therefore thinks everyone else is pretending or drama queens so she doesn't think she's being a mean girl. She can't conceive of a world where these relationships are real. Which speaks to her immaturity and shallowness. I think she is just kind of a mean person, but one without depth. I think she operates based on competition and attraction and so she ends up playing with people. She doesn't LIKE Kwame she just thinks he is hot and enjoys that she could win Kwame away from Chelsea just like she won Paul away from Amber. I think she will be single and miserable at the reunion.

Irina - Deeply unhappy and insecure person looking for her Regina George to latch onto (found in Micah). Clearly was not treated well in adolescence and has deep scars about her appearance, causing her to proactively lash out instead of expressing compassion. I think likely what Zack saw in her was a person who also had a pretty traumatic childhood. Behind a wall they probably talked openly about their respective traumas and so he felt he knew her heart. And hey honestly might ACTUALLY know her heart. But a person who has spent a lifetime putting so much value in appearance (feeling like she has more value now that she has gotten past her acne) cannot turn off that core value. I think prior to the revealing, for all her bluster, she was likely INCREDIBLY insecure and anxious about being seen (she knows that a lot of those women were more beautiful than her). I think Zack greeted her in a muted way that was about his own social awkwardness, not her appearance, and the fact that he wasn't visibly thrilled when he saw her (and I think he was actually just like, emotionally overwhelmed not disappointed) put her instantly on the offense. He can't hurt me if I hurt him. He can't call me ugly if I call him ugly first. So anyway I think she's terrible but likely terrible due to true struggles she's gone through and when looks were totally out of it I believe she likely was much more able to let her guard down.

Zack - So my thesis up there on Irina is also kind of a defense of Zack. I don't think he is a bad judge of character really I think he is just a victim of trauma and so saw another victim of trauma in Irina, someone who could understand him. It is why he said he TRUSTED her. Like trauma bonds meant she wouldn't betray him. But hurt people hurt people. I think in Bliss he saw a repeat of what was clearly a different traumatic experience for him with an ex where the ex's family really disliked him because of his past. Bliss grew up with a normal happy family and so can't even fathom this lack of acceptance. But in Irina Zack knew this would not be an issue, they came from the same kind of place. And I think when Bliss talked openly about disliking Irina it triggered a part of Zack who feels like he is also 'low class' and sees part of himself in Irina. And it made him scared that when Bliss met him, she might see the Irina in him. I also think this is why he tested all the women and put them on the defensive by saying weird things when he met them and why they all think he's a weirdo. The guys all like him! The girls primary experience came from failed dates in the PODs and he basically says that he was testing them all by saying he was homeless or a stripper etc. So I don't think he is a BAD guy, I think he DOES have serious mommy issues that will likely impact his romantic relationships until he gets some therapy. But overall I think he is a nice person who is trying his best and is probably a little spectrum-y. And I think he was drawn to Irina and scared of Bliss because of his upbringing. I don't know if they make it, but I hope they give it a good shot and I think if they DO they actually might have a better shot than most of the other couples because I think Bliss and Zack really loved each other and there will be NO ghost of Irina in the background. And I think that if he tries he might be able to explain what he was so afraid of and that might help her understand him more.

Bullies or meanies come in all shapes sizes and weight. The biggest bullies I had were always fat as hell obese and butt f ckkng ugly.
