I just can't pinpoint why her self esteem is so low. She is the full package!

Maybe she's been under a lot of family pressure to marry due to her age. And/or biological clock is ticking. But she seemed to genuinely like Zack, and they're quite lovely together.

Micah seemed awful to me, and I agreed with Paul that she didn't seem maternal though I understand why that was hurtful, and yet understand his response to her tearful "why didn't you ever bring it up?" which was that it's either something you have or don't rather than something you can become.

I think Paul was a bit uncomfortable being on camera, and is analytical, and next to Micah who's kind of simple, and seems like she'd be happy to be an influencer, would come across as stiff. Did anyone else notice she refereed to him numerous times as "a scientist" but never said what kind. Rocket scientist? Studies bugs? Develops drugs? She seemed very surface.

I think he is the one with super low esteem and she knows that and understands why he chose someone so unappealing. It’s a lot less painful when it doesn’t work with someone you don’t really want.

Self esteem is not a function of how you look. It comes from feeling worthy of healthy love and comfortable with who you are (=how you were brought up).
