Welcome to Bowser’s DC where no one is safe |
| I think she will go to the private sector or take Eleanor Holmes Norton’s job when she retires |
But who will win? That's the question. For all the hate aimed at Bowser, I'd rather have her for another term than any of the contenders mentioned. |
I would rather have her for mayor again too over any of the council, but if Kenyon McDuffie runs, I think he could succeed her and I think she would support him. |
| She isn't very smart. There is a reason she didn't get an Administration job. |
Can't the Biden Admin make Bowser a Deputy Assistant Secretary of HUD for Community Outreach, Forms and Paperclips, where she can do minimal harm? |
They offered her a Dep Sec job and she turned it down. She wanted to be Sec |
| Dog catcher. |
She's so pitiful and pathetic. Desperately latched on to Mike Bloomberg who went nowhere but to circle the drain. Gave the finger to the Biden Admin. She topped out at DC mayor. We could be so lucky to get rid of her. |
| She will be fine no matter what she does |
McDuffie likely wins and things continue their odd luxury housing + high crime combo, making the city simultaneously hard to afford and full of cookie-cutter plastic bars/restaurants yet rife with crime. We need someone competent enough to look outside their inner circle for smart people. Bowser's recent appointments and nominations have shown that her well ran dry a long, long time ago. |
You don’t think McDuffie will be tough on crime? He wanted to be the AG. |
The OG Near Act dude? Who didn’t have the legal acumen to realize he wasn’t legally eligible to *be* AG? No. No I don’t think he will be tough on crime. |
Everyone assumes that Bowser will go on to a cushy federal appointment or whatnot. Let's consider another scenario. City Paper reported that the FBI and DOJ are investigating former deputy mayor John Falciccio and his deputies concerning DC's transactions with developers, among other things. Falciccio was the mayor's point man for development, real estate deals, planning & zoning, etc. If this investigation broadens, it's not inconceivable that Bowser could be drawn in as well. |
I don’t think she will. I think John will be out there by himself |
