Who has the perfect genes, though? While I'm not bipolar I have family who is, and yet I reproduced. I just don't think having bipolar disorder means you shouldn't have kids. Everyone has something, you know? Why is bipolar so much worse to pass on than cancer or dementia?

DP. What is scary about that? I don’t have mental health issues in my family but tons of cancer. My dad died while my youngest sibling was in middle school. It was horrible. The grass is always greener.

Mental illness DOES cause plenty of people to become paranoid and spew racist rants. That doesn’t excuse the behavior, it’s just a fact. Paranoia is a symptom of schizophrenia and also of certain types of bipolar disorder. Kanye has been untreated for a really long time, and no one can force him to get treatment. Think of the homeless people you have seen on the street, ranting conspiracy theories, many of them racist. That’s where Kanye is at…he is not being treated and no one can force him to be treated, legally. Being married probably kept him in treatment for longer than he would have been. It’s not an accident his behavior has escalated since the divorce. Regardless, his paranoia and hate should not be given a platform, but there are too many people who think they can benefit from doing so and nothing will change till he runs out of enablers, money, or both.

She’s dumber than a rock. The becoming a lawyer thing was such an obvious sham. It would take less time to finish college and go to law school. She’s a buffoon.

While I despise this family's taste, vulgarity and excess, I have no criticism of their members' character. They set up a business and have managed it successfully for years, in the glare of the public eye. At heart they are decent people. Yes, Kanye's biological children have inherited a genetic predisposition to his mental health disorder. I'm sure their mother is very aware of that and will do her best if it manifests itself.
