Best logistically easy Ski Resort in Italy (from IAD)?

we just did Milan for a day or two before and after Cervinia. (The lifts were closed due to high winds so we couldn't spend a day in Zermatt as planned). We'll definitely be back.

We are going to Zermatt and hoping to ski over to Cervinia a day or two, weather permitting. Zermatt doesn’t seem that convenient to Milan though. We fly into Zurich.
