Brooklyn is an immature man who hasn’t had much responsibility and this feels like a rebellious teen raging against the constraints of parents who had high expectations and ran a tight ship. But rather than becoming his own independent person he just became Nicola’s wife. She seems very similar in personality to his parents- not uncommon to choose someone who is familiar but different. Her family also seems pretty rigid and controlled. He thinks he is making his own decisions but I don’t think he is. He is a weak rudderless man caught between strong women who like to run the show and manage the narrative.

It's funny you say David and Victoria have high expectations - they have three sons who've graduated from HS but not gone to college. None of them need to have a job. The only high expectation I've ever heard the parents have is that their kids have very good manners. The sons all have a ton of tattoos, so it seems the only "tight ship" the parents may have beyond manners is that the kids show up to events for photo ops. Seems like a pretty cushy life to me!

He can do whatever he wants but it is pretty laughable to complain about them making you conform to the Beckham brand while using the Beckham brand as the platform to complain! He has had an easier life than 99% of the population. Never had any life responsibilites, handed life on a silver platter, and now complains that the silver platter he was handed life on had some specks of dust on it.

They're both trashy chavs and so are their kids. I will give them hardworking.

You are right! I was thinking more that they seem to be hardworking and the kids are not. Both David and Victoria seem pretty regimented and self disciplined. If the other kids also end up doing nothing meaningful and whining - then it really is partly on David and Victoria to have raised spoiled children who can't adult.

His parents are weird for leaking things about him an attempt to gulit him. They raised spoiled kids and are mad Brooklyn isnt falling in line and wants to do his own thing. That's not Brooklyn's fault.

Dumb logic. Her dad has given her a trust fund that bought her 16 million dollar house. He kicks the bucket and she gets a large inheritance on top of it. It doesn't matter if she didn't work for it. She's still rich and will always be richer.
