College Women in Southern States no longer able to obtain Abortion in Date Rape cases

This is a canary in the coal mine for the types of policies that can be enacted on those states at the drop of a hat. Any person with options to consider building a life in the Taliban of the West states.

Because if he gets a girl pregnant he wants her to be able to abort their baby?

No, dear, because he sees women as equals with a right to choice regarding their own bodies.

Ok😉

Because people have been turning down acceptance to Stanford and Princeton to go to where exactly?? Oklahoma State?

Let’s face it, while parents think a lot about post grad career opportunities, many many kids want to have a good time. That tends to include sex! And accidents happen a lot in that age group.

And I have to agree with the pp who noted that those colleges have only recently overcome the northern knee-jerk distaste for them on racism grounds. I went to a very prestigious New England prep school in the 80s and the only people who went to southern and southwestern schools came from those states. This just feeds into stereotypes.

No mention of being responsible? Just have a good time? Parents need to send a different message.

Wow

Sure, be responsible. Do everything you can to protect yourself

That doesn’t stop a rapist, though

This is so gross. The poor girl now has to tell their parents and deal with even more ramifications.

God forbid that actions have consequences.

Throw me back into the briar patch please.

Pre Roe, women were more likely to be stuck in abusive marriages filled with spousal rape and no access to the family money. They didn't have a choice to work or stay home, because they had no means to get sufficiently educated to support themselves. They "enjoyed" more children because they didn't have a choice.

Having liberals flee vs move into red states will ultimately backfire because we have the electoral college Vs popular vote.

We're not talking about moving, just not paying OOS tuition rates for our daughters to go to the red states for school. No way would I want a daughter or any female relative intentionally moving someplace where she could die from a miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy.

Do you want your children to be irresponsible about their choices? I don't.
