College Women in Southern States no longer able to obtain Abortion in Date Rape cases

As we know, about 25 US states have " Trigger laws" making it a Felony for a woman to control if/when she sustains a pregnancy.

If you are a Tuition paying parent sending a daughter to a University in one of these ( mostly Southern US States) do you realize that - under most of their Trigger laws- if your daughter is raped at a Frat party and, that Rape results in a fertalized Egg, she will be convicted of a Felony for choosing not to carry that pregnancy to term

Will you continue with your plan to pay 50K a year to say, Tulane, Emory, Suwannee, Furman, and the like

Or take your Tuition dollars elsewhere....

It's not just southern states. There are only 13-14 states where I'd send my kid now. Thankful we have Canada as a reciprocal option in our state.

Which states will pass laws restricting travel? Last I heard, MO had a bill that had begun the approval process.

There are probably legislators in every state who would write and sponsor such legislation.

But people with means will still obtain abortions.
