Maybe. But Youngkin is so green and so incompetent. He just doesn’t understand the whole governing thing. He’s going to be slow to do things like mobilize the guard. It increases the chance that things get out of hand in VA. (also, he like to cause chaos in NoVA, so there that’.

Hogans may be an R. But, he did the right things during the insurrection.

You are not thinking clearly. What if this was a car caravan protesting the treatment of POC? Call out the Guard? That is insane. People have the right to protest. If they want to disrupt let them for a day or two. This thing will then go away. If it does not then arrest them.

Impound the truck? Do you think this is Canada? No one will come with a truck they are not prepared to lose. Either old and they could care less or they owe so much it does not matter.

Getting a truck impounded that you owe money is a great way to still owe the money but not even have the truck to do jobs anymore. Genius!! Keep it coming boys!! Haha that’ll really teach us a lesson!

You must not know a lot about American history. Read a book.

Um, ok?

May 2020 called. It wants its protest back.

+1 Exactly what part of the country still needs to be “re-opened”?

I am seeing statements from Maryland state police and other Maryland officials about preparations to address this if a convoy does come to the Beltway. Crickets so far from Virginia. If I’m the truckers, I head to the Virginia side of the Beltway because they don’t seem prepared to deal with it.

Yes youngkin is all for them. Specially because it will hurt NoVa. I hear youngkin will deploy the state police to ticket non trucker stuck on the beltway.

What an idiot. There are a whole lot of people who drive here from "red" areas every day. Lots of subcontractors for construction and landscapers and other tradesmen. Lots of food trucks as well. Not to mention people driving here for hospital services (surgeries, etc.). Great way to screw them. If it helps them decide to vote blue, well good.

Brilliant. Close the bridges into DC and then it will be Youngkins problem.

This just fires them up and plays right into the whole "government is against us". They want to be the victims.

This seems to be the point. Everything is "open" and most places don't require even proof of vaccination. Even MoCo is dropping mandatory masks.

It's like a protest in search of a cause. Unless they just want to be victims and feel persecuted. This does seem to be the end game with a lot of conservatives.

This is the MO of the entire Republican party.

The response should have been- The right to protest is an important aspect of the American democratic. We hope that any citizens engaged in their 1st amendment rights follow the rules, which include keeping the safety of others in mind. Here is a direct link to permits for protests. #democracyinaction #lawsmatter #1st>2nd
