I loved these audiobooks. What's next?

Roots was fantastic as an audio book.

Here is what I do:
I downloaded the overdrive program to my laptop. Then I transfer the book from my laptop to an MP3 player via the overdrive program. The MP3 player is not hooked up to the internet, so the book stays on my MP3 player until I delete it.

Last spring, the libraries all said the overdrive program was going to be deleted on May 1, 2023. But then it didn't go away after all. It is just not ever going to be updated and will be obsolete eventually, I suppose. But for now, it still works just fine.

I can walk you through how I do it if you want.

PP here. I just wanted to post an update saying that I noticed on my library overdrive website today that this option is going away as of Nov. 13.

My favorite audibles...

Project Hail Mary was perfection-amazing narrator
House in the Cerulean Sea- funny and endearing
Remarkably Bright Creatures-the talking octopus sounds like a weird premise but it was so delightful

From Here to the Great Unknown memoir by Lisa Marie Presley and Riley Keough

Julia Roberts narrates the sections from Lisa's perspective and Keough narrates sections written from her perspective. There are also clips of Lisa that were recorded while she was working on the book.

Audible has the Blandings Castle PG Wodehouse collection read by Stephen Fry that is fun if you want to do classic but easy to listen to.

Yes! This was so much fun on audio. The reader did a great job with Marcellus. One of my favorite characters on audio!
