DP. Every part is false. There was massive news coverage and tons of Democrats asked Northam to step down. Former Democratic governors, both current Democratic Senators, the Democratic Party of Virginia, a long list of candidates who were running for the Democratic presidential nomination, the Democratic House Speaker and on and on. https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2019/02/03/politics/ralph-northam-virginia-resignation/index.html There’s a similarly long list of Democrats who called on Fairfax to resign as well. https://www.businessinsider.com/democrats-are-calling-on-justin-fairfax-to-resign-2019-2?amp They just… didn’t. Just like so many of the officials in GOP scandals thread. |
DP. And, then they were pretty silent when Fairfax ran for governor. Did the Democrats speak out then? I agree that many spoke out at the time. But, then when none of the people in question stepped down, we got radio silence from the Dems. |
Good job moving the goalposts since your first assertions were complete BS. Yes, Democrats spoke out when Fairfax ran for Governor, I can’t recall anyone who endorsed him, and he got hardly any donations, zero traction and very few votes. https://apnews.com/article/va-state-wire-government-and-politics-ea3ec1ea9e4b543c260fd10877dfa370 |
Question: Do you know what "DP" means? |
Please. Fairfax didn't even win the primary, but go on. |
Not guilty, my Aunt Fanny…
Former Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan pleaded not guilty on Wednesday to charges of racketeering conspiracy, bribery, wire fraud and extortion. https://www.wsj.com/articles/former-illinois-house-speaker-pleads-not-guilty-to-racketeering-11646862686 |
Put it a different way. When Fairfax ran for Governnor, did he win? Because we are seeing all sorts of deplorable and criminal republicans getting elected at every turn. |
That one is in no way surprising |
Northam stayed despite many, many people calling for his resignation. And he went on to be a very good governor. Fairfax also stayed but sort of faded into the background. I think his political career is largely over. But, he also did call for a full investigation of the claims, rather than the more limited review the women were asking for. Since there was no agreement, that never happened. Other than calling for resignations, should D's have stormed the Capital and physically removed them??? I'm not sure what you are saying should have happened here? |
