Complete BS. When photos of Gov Northam appeared in blackface, nothing happened. When his LT Governor was accused by not one but two women of sexual assault on the heels of the Me Too movement, nothing was done. Crickets. Barely any news coverage. Where were all the Dems demanding they step down? Give me a break. Plenty of rubes to go around.

DP. Every part is false. There was massive news coverage and tons of Democrats asked Northam to step down. Former Democratic governors, both current Democratic Senators, the Democratic Party of Virginia, a long list of candidates who were running for the Democratic presidential nomination, the Democratic House Speaker and on and on.

I agree that many spoke out at the time. But, then when none of the people in question stepped down, we got radio silence from the Dems.

Northam stayed despite many, many people calling for his resignation. And he went on to be a very good governor.

Fairfax also stayed but sort of faded into the background. I think his political career is largely over. But, he also did call for a full investigation of the claims, rather than the more limited review the women were asking for. Since there was no agreement, that never happened.

Other than calling for resignations, should D's have stormed the Capital and physically removed them??? I'm not sure what you are saying should have happened here?

Harris County judge Lina Hidalgo (the AOC of Texas) has a bid rigging scandal going on. Three staffers were indicted recently.

Her office allegedly inappropriately tampered in the awarding an $11 million COVID contract to a not pre-qualified, newly-formed, one-person operation whose owner is a Dem political operative. After the initial scrutiny, the contract was cancelled but I guess that wasn't sufficient for her detractors.
