Do you have a cleaning person? How big is your place and how much do you pay?

Between 2 working professionals and full of energy 18 months old we fell behind on keeping our home as clean as we would like. Our it got old spending our day off just catching up va enjoying the day with each other or our daughter...

So we called a cleaning company and today was their first day...felt good comping home to a clean house. There is a few things we would like them to fix next time: my wife would prefer they come a day she is home to review their work with them, they were supposed to clean the windows they did not, they put our daughters shoes on her bed (so we had to change the sheets) etc. But they cleaned our fridge/oven and dishwasher which we were not expecting.

They charged us $155 for the first cleaning, then $125/every 2 weeks.

We have a 3 bedrooms / 2.5 baths, 1680 sqft townhome (including basement).

We wanted to compare to what others are paying?

Why did you have to change the sheets?

This part is mincromanaging andnnot reasonable, “my wife would prefer they come a day she is home to review their work with them,”

We pay $100 every 2 weeks for. a3500 sq ft single family home.

I would never expect them to clean the windows or inside appliances. that’s a job you pay for in itself.

We pay $100 on cash to the one person who comes, she is there about 2.5 hours. 3 bedrooms, main level and basement. ( she only has to vacuum the basement and the guest room) She changes our sheets and DDs sheets. She does NOT do our windows, that is extra I believe.
She comes every 2 weeks.
She cleans out the microwave and toaster oven but doesnt do anything with the dishwasher.

We are about 2400 sq ft. 4 bedrooms but only 2 being used regularly. 4 bathrooms. She doesn't do windows or inside appliances unless we pay extra. We only pay $75. She isn't the most thorough cleaner but I am OK with it because of the price.

Had a couple of others for $5 less. These ones do a good job!

I am this PP. We have 2 large dogs and the fact the cleaning person is ok with them being loose in the house is huge. A lot of cleaners dont like dogs and want them kept crated or outside. So this in itself endears her to me.

$180/every two weeks for 4000 sq ft. I’ve paid as little as $100 but I wasn’t happy with the work. I use a small device and the owner is extremely responsive and has addressed concerns as they come up, something I have not seen happen with other services I’ve used.

Owner of a service type business that I know uses his customer keys to access homes/computers when they are at work. You would be wise to either be there to let them in or invest in a smart lock so you can remotely unlock and relock your home. Also, no matter what you need to password protect your computer or face the possibility of being accused of distributing some “questionable” child videos. Really, take this advice for your own good.
