Demise of this Country - Democrats or Republicans or both?

Just curious to see different perspective on this. I am sure some will say it is already happening.

Both. Although Republicans have taken a commanding lead in the race.

I'm not sure I understand your question, but it isn't the Democrats inviting the Russians in, or ramming policies through that benefit only the wealthiest and most powerful segments of our society regardless of the burden to everyone else, or engaging in a full-on judicial assault on civil rights, or...

I believe our country is heading towards fascism. Party identity would not matter. It would be for the fascist or against him!

No but we have participated in the race to the bottom in decorum and we ignored the demise of middle America until they came back to bite us in the butt.

No we didn’t. We lacked the cohesive message and state tv that the GOP has. Trump voters, on average, had more money than Clinton voters.

And there is no way we can every solve the decorum deficit we have to the GOP. They win, hands down. They’ll have trump stain for years.

Repubs need to reclam their party from the conspiracy theorists and racists. Clean up your act before its too late!

It has started. Both parties have contributed to it, although, I feel democrats have contributed to it more. I can't stand Trump and Clinton. Sadly, this is what America had to offer. I am not optimistic, but mostly pessimistic with the future because of our politicians and leaders who have not worked for the best interest of its citizens or this country. WE DON'T HAVE GOOD LEADERS. Without a good leaders, eventually the country will begin to fall.

This basically correct, IMO. BUT, I get sick when Democrats use this to excuse their contribution. If the Republicans are massively irresponsible, it shouldn't justify the Democrats being any kind of irresponsible, it should mean Democrats have to get massively better or else we will all be in a serious mess.

Democrats aren't great, but the Republicans are a dumpster fire. I was raised as an Eisenhower Republican and, I'm sure the party then wasn't as great as I'd been raised to believe, but (as an upper middle-class, professional white guy), my natural affinity is with the GOP.

The country does better when it has (at least) two viable political parties presenting varying worldviews and policy choices. The current version where we have one mediocre party and one that's radioactive is not good for the country.

time for a 3rd party who care for its citizens? i am ready..

It could be worse. Look at Turkey and its people and what they are going through with Erdogan.

Middle America was not ignored by the democrats. It was the GOP starting with reagan that has just one policy of tax cuts for the wealthy that is the root cause. Now wealth doesn't get shared with the employees anymore than needed. So the country has become the republic of the wealthy for the wealthy by the wealthy. That is THE PROBLEM. So the GOP gives tax cuts to the wealthy and then incites the white eneducated blue color mass by playing white identity politics. This division is gonna doom the country.

the solution is easy, tax the wealthy upto 50% and then provide universal healthcare to everyone along with good education.

What do you want the democrats to do? The GOP blocked everything that Obama tried to do. No tax hike on wealthy. No improvement to Obamacare. No Climate change regulations. No tightening the financial rules for banks. No education training. No accountability by private colleges.
