| Okay it's a teen rom-com but I totally enjoyed it. Anybody else see it? |
|
Just saw it.
LOVED it. I had a talk with my mom over vacation about stresses of trying to be "a good girl" in HS and how often it backfired. She send me the link. |
| Ooh I love teen rom coms. I don’t know why. Thanks for the recommendation. |
| Watched it yesterday. Loved it. |
| So sad that all but one studio asked the author to make the movie with a main character that was white, not part-Asian. |
One thing I did notice was that there weren't any Asian boy characters, right? Am I forgetting someone? Still loved it though! |
| I read the book, and the boys aren't Asian in the book, either. It's such a cute book. I want to see the movie! It's nice to see a book where the kids aren't all having sex. |
And I'm so glad she stuck to her guns. The movie wouldn't have been the same as the original story at all. This was perfect. |
| I just watched this. It was really wonderfully done. It somehow maintained the perfect balance of incorporating classic teen rom-com elements that we all love without being too cheesy and also touching on more serious topics without dampening the mood. It felt real in a way, and I appreciated that. |
| Loved it. Watched it tonight with 13 yr old DD and 15 yr old DS and they both really enjoyed it too. |
| Just cried my eyes out. Loved it! Perfect teen rom-com. |
|
Just watched this. My teenagers think it’s funny that Netflix recommends these teen rom coms for me.
Loved the movie. Way better than Kissing Booth. |
| Did they make a movie out of kissing booth!? |
Yes! |
That was awful. The character is completely awkward has no idea what it’s like to act on a date b/c she hasn’t gone on one then has unprotected sex on the first date. Male writers suck. |
