My 11 yo boy carrying 2 stuffed animals.

We are on vacation and he’s holding one and the other is peeking from his backpack. Rising 6th grader (also keeps saying ouchie). He’s my only child. Thoughts? Experience? I’m just judging. Just curious.

Is he really into rave culture?

My 10 yo still sleeps with 4 stuffed Batman’s and a stuffed dog but he hides them when friends come over.

I’d put a stop to that RIGHT AWAY op.

Just kidding. My 12 year old son is going to seventh grade and he brings 3 tiny stuffed animals with him when we travel. Two he’s had since he was a baby and one he got when he was about 4. He still has a toy box full of toys in his room that he plays with occasionally. Also an only child, but doesn’t say ouchie

My 17 year old son has a worn out small monkey stuffed animal. He sleeps with it every night, and it goes with him on trips. We joke that we will be filling out a college application for that monkey in a few months. AND after 2nd grade, he would never let anyone know that he had it.

My 5th grader boy also still loves stuffed animals. He'll carry them (hide them) in his backpack.

My 4th grade DS carries 2 stuffies & a blankie around the house... and shows them to friends when they come over.

Thanks. To give perspective, he got back from a week at sleep away camp yesterday and we got up at 4 am to fly to beach vacation. We’re trying to wait for fireworks. So tired.

He fluctuates between sweet boy and serious tween/teen tude. I made him put on deodorant earlier (phew) and he has some underarm hair.

My 11 yr old DS always brings his baby blanket and a stuffed animal on vacation. He actually shoves that blanket frequently in the bottom of his backpack. Lots of kids like reminders from home.

OP. Appreciate the feedback. Thanks.

Is your boy happy? That’s all the matters.

He is happy most of the time. Expressed fear of plan crashing and ferry boat sinking today. We talked and he seemed fine.

OP, I think it's sweet.

My 10yo will not sleep without his 2 stuffies.

My 12yo has a lamb that is bald but still loved 2 death.

My 15yo still sleeps with small pink baby blankie.

I have my husband.

We all need comfort items.
