best big modern houseplant for a corner

| I have two small kids an dso prefer something that stays "clean" Would love a fiddle fig but hear it will die without direct sun. Is a palm a good choice? thoughts? |

| I'm looking for something that is a bit bigger wider than a snake plant (and yes, have small kids so can't be poisoness- they eat all plants thinking they are herbs from the garden!!!) |

| We have a taller (like 4') palm tree. Toddler DD can't reach the leaves to rip them off and while the trunk is skinny, the leaves cascade out in a pretty nice full shape. |
