Just for informational purposes, here are the results from the ECNL playoffs which represents the end of the seasons for the teams from the DMV, as no one is advancing to the ECNL Finals in July. Sorry for the lack of formatting but I could not get columns to line up.
Congratulations to the McLean U18/19 team for winning the ECNL National Championships (which were held in Seattle). Next up, maybe they can play Maryland's own FC Bordeaux for the world title. | Why does everyone alway talk BSC up? Is it because if the boys side? |
I was surprised by the Bethesda results. Being pretty much the only game in town in Montgomery County and NW DC (no, I’m not including Spirit MD), I expected more. |
McLean, Arlington, WS VA are all options for people living in DC/MoCO. |
| Wow! What happened to Bryc ? I guess the hype was just that hype. I read on the board about the decline with them. the proof is in the pudding. Good job Bethesda. |
| Sarcastic good job Bethesda ^^^^^^ |
| For ECNL results, please keep in mind there were different brackets. E.g. Champions League is the top, North American Cup is next down and then a showcase cup. So essentially, if you are in the ECNL and U14 or older, they created a division for you to go and compete in. |
Is that it? They are the only game in town? Their girls side seems to punch way below their weight. |
Well that applies at 15,16,17 but not at 14 and 18. They only had champions league for those groups. The summary posted did not give that detail. |
Right, so for U15, U16, and U17, the results don't really tell us anything because the team could have been in the bottom division. Not that results are everything, but since it was the thread's title and all... |
didnt OP put the bracket next to the team name? top, third, etc? |
|
I did put the bracket rank immediately next to the team's name as well as noted that there's only one bracket next to the U14 and U18 age group.
It's disappointing that people are too stupid or lazy to read. |
| Well that is great that McLean won the ECNL playoff. It would be nice to see them play other compeititive non-ECNL teams including top DA teams. |
| Keep in mind that only the champions league is a playoff. The other two levels are showcases where winning may not be the primary goal. |
Oh I saw. But what you don’t realize is how it works. Yes everyone plays 3 games, guaranteed. But it’s an elimination game. If you lose your first game - which most of them did - you are done. You play 2 more games, but against other teams that lost. Go view the standings to see how it works. |
