I’m ignorant but want to vote so please help me

It’s an embarrassment but here we are. Have done some research. High net worth from inheritance and work at a nonprofit. Live in Potomac and send kids to public. Socially liberal, financially moderate. I would prefer younger candidates as I feel like the older ones have just been all talk lately. Any insight from like-minded folks is very welcome!

For Moco exec:

I want someone whose priority is getting more jobs in MoCo and ending the fiscal "death spiral" we are in

I want someone who isn't on the county currently cause I think they got us into this mess

That led me to Blair and Frick

Out of those, Blair has the best shot of beating Elrich so I would vote for him

For governor, I don't think it matters since it seems Hogan is polling so well. Wouldn't vote for Jealous though

Blair definitely.

If everyone who says they liked Frick actually voted for him, we might have a great county exec. Read up on Blair - there is no way he will win. I'd vote for Hogan before Blair.

Also in Potomac with kids in public. No inheritance though . Okay-ish net worth

I'm voting for:
Gov: Madaleno
Senator: Cardin
6th District Rep: Manno or Miller. A little torn.
State Senator: Feldman
House of Delegates: Dumais, Mack, and Van Wye
County Exec: Blair. I think.
Council at Large: Albornoz, Gottfried, Jain, and haven't decided
County Council: Katz
Board of Education at Large: Sugg
Board of Ed District 3: Simon

Krasnow for exec based on threads I've read here and online info.
The slate of 7 sitting judges based on a discussion on my neighborhood listserv.
Julie Reilly for BoE.

I'm in Chevy Chase (also no inheritance) so some of my picks won't be valid for you. My priority electoral issue is quality of education, and based upon candidate statements/websites, Bethesda mag, Washington Post recommendations and watching some online interviews, I early voted for:

Governor: Rushern Baker
House of Delegates: (Pick 3) Samir Paul, Mark Korman, Sara Love
County Council district 1: Meredith Wellington
County Council at large: (Pick 4) Gabe Albornoz, Seth Grimes, Evan Glass, Hoan Dang
County Exec: David Blair
School Board district 3: Patricia O'Neill (this was a toss-up for me as I didn't really like any of the candidates)
School Board at large: Karla Silvestre

I have a very liberal agenda, so I am voting for Ben Jealous, he was endorsed by Bernie.

I hate to admit it, but I haven't had time to research candidates, I'm voting for people endorsed by Our Revolution, a very liberal organization.

No, no, no! O'Neill makes fun of MoCo parents, doesn't listen to experts, and is part of the failure of MCPS schools/curriculum. Please vote OUT MoCo BOE incumbents.

Op here - I’m familiar with the current BOE because of my work and also not a fan of anyone on it. Who do people think would bring much needed change?

Vote for the sitting judges. They are 1-6 and then #8. Number 7 is not a judge

This might be true, but all this tells me is we need ranked choice voting in our county.
