I’m ignorant but want to vote so please help me

Don’t forget the League of Women’s Voters guide. I especially use that to help my decision with some of the smaller races like Clerk of Circuir Court and Democratic Central Committee
https://www.lwvmocomd.org/vote411-org

It took me forever to decide in the last 24 hours but I’m going with
Frick

Albornoz
Brooks
Glass
Wilhelm

District 1 Friedson

Hopefully this will lead to a County Council that can be pragmatic and balanced when it comes to public services and growing the local economy.

Why?

They have been through a rigorous vetting process. The opponent #7 on the ballot has failed the process 9 times. She is attempting to become a judge by paying 50 dollars to get on the ballot. The sitting judges are endorsed by both democrats and republicans.

I'm in District 18, so I won't give you my choices for that, but for public education, my vote is for Madaleno for governor. He's the only gubernatorial candidate who opposes the Kirwan Commission recommendation of taking (even more) money out of MoCo:

http://www.theseventhstate.com/?p=7715

The Kirwan Commission recommends reducing MoCo's state aid for education by 63% while making local taxpayers pay 60% more. The existing wealth redistribution formula already makes it such that MoCo only gets back 24 cents out of every dollar in taxes to the state.

I am a strong supporter of public schools, but given our county's huge issues with our schools, it's not OK with me to support a candidate for governor who supports sending more of our tax dollars out of the county to help other counties' schools.

Board of Ed at large: I liked Stephen Sugg, but I was torn between him and Julie Reiley or Karla Silvestre.

Board of Ed District 3 (not sure which district you're in): I picked Amano. Pat O'Neill has got to go.

I went with Albornoz, Glass, Wilhelm like 08:47 but picked Grimes over Brooks although I liked Brooks too. The field is insane.
