Why don’t you ask POTUS that since he’s the first president in 40 years not to release his taxes? The NYT has to rely on sources to feed them copies of Trump’s taxes because he won’t release them. Biden released his taxes voluntarily as required without any issue

It's not a law that he has to. Again absolutely no proof coming from the NYT...that's what people want to see. Not more political spin. And Ford didn't release his in 1976, some others only released a year (Reagan) or two.

Unless he has done something illegal the only story here is 1. He has taken advantage of the tax codes 2. He may have to sell assets to cover his debt balloon payments and 3. His track record of business failures is continuing.

Did he file fraudulently or do something illegal? He has certainly been audited a lot and it hasn’t resulted in anything criminal.

Taxes are complicated. What someone salaried at 70k per year pays can’t be compared to what he pays because he has lost millions and invested millions in businesses which stimulate economy and add growth.

I said no President has failed to release their tax returns in 40 years. Gerald Ford left the presidency more than 40 years ago. Reagan did release his returns.
Trump is exhibit A of why a law should be passed in the future.
And yes so convenient for you to complain that the NYT won’t show people Trump’s returns and say they’re false while also saying that Trump doesn’t have to provided

It's not about convenience, it's a fact he doesn't have to. Well sure 2 months till the election they should have included some documentation.

He doesn't have to do anything and I don't have to vote for him. The problem isn't Trump, it's people like you who defend his every move. There's a lot uckers born every minute.

He's the president who signed into law a massive tax reform bill that helps people like him avoid paying taxes. What this shows is that regular working Americans who pay thousands in income taxes every year are chumps.

And his massive debts are a big problem. As others have said, it would prevent most people from getting a security clearance. Should that not be a basic, minimum level qualification for a president? To be able to get a security clearance?

None that can be proven because they didn't look at where the revenue from his assets was coming from or to whom he owes this debt. Also, his tax returns aren't going to just itemize a line saying legal payments to Michael Cohen for Stormy Daniels. Are you seriously that dense?

He has been audited a lot? He's been fighting that audit with everything he has, for a very long time.

He cheated to avoid military service.
He cheated to get into college.
He cheated African Americans who wanted to live in his properties.
He cheated the Central Park 5 of their freedom.
He cheated the American government of taxes.
He cheated in the Apprentice, basically Russian front money even then.
He declared bankruptcy 6 times, cheating vendors out of their rightful compensation.
He cheated cities out of monies for security at campaign rallies.
And he is cheating the American public today, and with that, there are still, amazingly, people who are stupid enough to STILL believe him and in him.
