Great question. PP? |
He didn't write the tax laws. If he or anyone does something illegal that's another story, and the IRS will handle it. If he is using tax write offs, exemptions then nothing amiss imo. |
Reagan and every other president released their returns for the years while they were in office. Trump hasn’t done that either. |
I said no President has failed to release their tax returns in 40 years. Gerald Ford left the presidency more than 40 years ago. Reagan did release his returns. Trump is exhibit A of why a law should be passed in the future. And yes so convenient for you to complain that the NYT won’t show people Trump’s returns and say they’re false while also saying that Trump doesn’t have to provided |
This really isn't a concern with most voters. It's 2 months out and they did this with Hillary etc. All voters needs to hold the news media accountable which is running amok these days. I think all sides should require proof. |

If Trump doesn't golf, his resorts don't get all of that secret service money.
If Trump doesn't go to Mar-A-Lago, Bedminster and the Trump International in DC, those places don't get those revenues, some of them from foreign sources. This is part of why we have security barriers and the Emoluments Clause. If the Saudi's, Qatari's, UAE, Israel, Turkey, Russia and China all know Trump is broke (they did and do) then they can basically bribe him for policy in their interests. If you look at Syrian, we pulled out to benefit Turkey and Russia. If you look at the middle east, we put "deals" together than enabled UAE etc to purchase US military hardware. The list goes on, but there is very little of US foreign policy taking place that is the interests if the US. Our allies and enemies both know this. |
His other taxes are all highly questionable too. But none of that matters, as Trump himself knows. Perception is everything. |
Ya, it's the media's fault
|
You’re correct, his sycophants in the 115th Congress wrote him a tax law. |
Dp, to be clear, it would be unconstitutional for a federal requirement, but there is no reason several states couldn't make it a requirement to get on their state ballots. |
There are plenty of real estate taxes that Trump hasn’t paid if he’s falsely claiming a personal residence as an investment property. |
It's not about convenience, it's a fact he doesn't have to. Well sure 2 months till the election they should have included some documentation. |
