Yeah, it's perfectly normal for FLOTUS to disappear for 3 weeks. Happens all the time. I remember all the times that Michelle and Hillary and Laura just vanished for months at a time.


You know, if we thought you genuinely cared about the well being of Melania, this wouldn’t be such a huge issue.
But, your faux concern is so evident from all the speculation. You don’t really care.... you are looking for another reason to slam Donald Trump.
And, by “you,” I mean all the bored, gossipy housewives who find it appropriate to dream up horrible scenarios to fulfill your boring existence.

Yes, many of us are legitimately concerned about Melania. Donald has a history of domestic violence and allegedly throughout his school years, too. The cover story was transparently bad (and then she was maybe resting or working hard; both answers were given). It is not normal for a First Lady to disappear without explanation and with a tweet obviously not written by her and for him to point to a window and say she’s watching us when she wasn’t... First Families give up a measure of privacy. No one needs to see the results of her latest blood test, but we get a sketch of what's happening. And we haven’t gotten that. I’m very concerned about her and hope she shows up well and healthy tonight at her event.


I agree. This is unsettling and beyond all norms. Trump has serious allegations of spousal abuses made during a sworn deposition. The past several months she’s seatt d his hand away and dealt with constant stories about his serious infidelities including a long—term love affair. This is not good.

Eh, just in the same way that conservatives on this board are filled with glee that Trump gets a rise out of liberals by saying outrageous things that flout and undermine our democratic principles, perhaps liberals are enjoying getting a rise out of conservatives by talking up Melania's strange absence.

She was able to walk to the front row and sit down. She's not wholly bedridden.
