I think its all about Carole deserting Bethenny for Tinsley - Carole wants a younger, more "socially prominent" friend and even though now Tinsley is no-one, now Tinlsey, like Carole was once married to a big name family scion. Carole's entire turn around re B is because she saw someone she decided was more desirable as a friend. B is confused and hurt because she though their friendship was real. Carole is out for herself and gravitates to whomever is youngest and most famous. That was B. In Carole's mind that is now T. |
This makes no sense, because nobody thinks Tinsley is more famous, not Carole, not anyone. And I don't think she's exactly socially prominent any longer. She is younger, but that's the only part you've gotten correct. We saw Carole's good friend Duff who is neither younger nor more famous than Bethenny, and the former HW Heather, who is not younger or more famous. Honestly, it seems like this all kicked off when Bethenny made some comments about Carole's ex (who was maybe not entirely an ex at the time). I think Carole really reevaluated things then, and started to step back from the friendship. And coincidentally had become closer to Tinsley, just due to the fact that their boyfriends were friends, not because of some deep kinship or soul connection. And Bethenny, who really is bothered to her core by those who are born with wealth and beauty and who've had seemingly easy lives, was sent over the edge. It's understandable, that she felt this way, but not understandable why she felt like Carole was doing these things in a calculated way just to hurt her and that Bethenny was the blameless victim. |
Their fall out seems to have happened when Carole was in CA and Bethenny reached out to her and needed a friend. She didn’t get the response she wanted and made some sort of crack that Carole seems to have overreacted to. Seems to have. Carole has alluded to some sort of tough time when she was in CA and couldn’t deal with Bethenny at the time. She thought she could put her off until she returned to New York but by that point Bethenny had gone ballistic.
Does anyone know what was going on with Carole in CA? Or why she initially pushed Bethenny away? |
This is just plain stupid. You are off your rocker. |
I believe Carole was with a friend whose husband had just passed away. |
The scene with Carole and Adam last night was something else. They looked like a mom and son at a bad costume party. I used to think Adam was kind of cute, but I don't know anymore.
And the scene where Carole tells Tinsley her non-reaction to the boat incident is due to her being in abusive relationships. Um, what? And why didn't we get more of Tinsley's reaction to that doozy of a comment. |
Her comment to Tinsley was pretty spot-on actually. It wasn't a dig. Tinsely was saying she took it personally when people criticized aspects of the trip, even the boat ride. Carole was pointing out that she shouldn't take it as a criticism because it was not her they were criticizing. It was a very scary and terrible boat ride. She wasn't saying it to be mean. She was telling her friend that her reaction, being so far removed from the reaction of every other person in that boat, was curious and perhaps she should do some introspection to understand why. And for the love of Pete, you can dislike Carole without talking about her age or looks. That is very childish and simple. If you can't find other things to criticize, maybe it's because she isn't so awful. |
Totally disagree. I don't think friends psycho-analyze each other in that way, particularly when it's unsolicited. Tinsley looked shocked. Carole did not say, maybe you should examine why your reaction was so different than everyone else. That's the thing to say to a friend if you're going to say anything. No one needs the dime-store analysis that the reaction is due to being in abusive relationships. Carole has no idea what the hell she is talking about. |
PP back. I can find other things to criticize. She is self-important, hypocritical, acts like she is better than everyone else and the entire show that she chose to be on, stuck in the past, and a friend hopper. |
I asked this a while back, but it might have gotten lost in all the posts.
There was a blind gossip post about Carole actually being gay and was pretending to date and create hetero dating drama for the show. She actually has a girlfriend IRL and had her throughout the show. Does anyone know if that's true? There was a poster on here who had a connection to the family and I'm just wondering if that's BS gossip or actually true. If it's true, I'm so sick and sad that one of the RH franchises can't let them be, you know, actually REAL and show the true drama of her life instead of making her pretend on camera. |
If that were true, why do you assume it’s the franchise making her keep it quiet? More likely would be Carole’s choice. |
Agreed. Is there a more gay-friendly network than Bravo? Doubt it. I also think that is beyond far-fetched. Just my opinion. |
Okay, I'll give you stuck in the past. I've never lost a spouse, but I imagine that I might remain just as stuck if that happened to me. And her "storyline" was pretty boring, because she doesn't bring the drama. But the other criticisms? No, we're clearly not watching the show with the same eyes. Friend hopper? What? She's still friends with the same people, most of them just aren't on the show. She had a falling out with one person in the show, and got closer to another. Hardly evidence of her being a friend hopper. She's no more hypocritical or self-important than any of the other cast members. |
Last night she said she hadn’t seen heather in a really long time. How is that keeping a friend? |
My stuck in the past criticism is based on her calling herself a journalist ad nauseum. I actually don't think she brings up her deceased husband all that often. Perhaps friend hopper was not the right term. She clearly needs to have one person she is friends with to the exclusion of other relationships and other people feel left out of the dynamic. This is middle school girl behavior. This criticism has been leveled at her over all her years on the show by multiple cast members. Started with Heather. Dorinda, her now buddy, told Carole that Bethenny and Carole were mean girls against Jules. Ramona told her the same. It's a pattern. Now it's Tinsley. She gets a BFF and then is exclusionary. She is incredibly above it all and more self-important. Go and read her exit statement she gave to the media. Self-important drivel. She was curious about reality television but now her interest has waned and she's heading off for things that suit her steady temperament. Just. Shut. Up. She's a hypocrite because she has talked 100x more smack about Bethenny this year than the reverse and yet one of her original beefs with Bethenny was don't talk smack about me behind me back and I'm loyal and ride or die. Huh? |
