Also accepted ED at Newhouse School at Syracuse!

Oh that is awesome! Mine applied to both but not early... Hoping to study TV/film.

Did either offer aid with the acceptance?

Very thoughtful program, great undergraduate mentored research and senior projects, CTCL (don't bring out the haters here). Glad to have one option without seeing final semester grades.

Haha I hear that!! Senioritis sets in early for some ...

Yes, DS did get Honors College for UVM. With SAT less than above.

No honors for my DC: 33 ACT (equivalent to 1480) and also 4.0 unweighted...also got $18K a year. From what I understand, the Honors College invitation is based on a more holistic review, including intended major, geography, etc.

No honors for my DC with similar stats. Same merit aid package, just under 20K per year. Not making the honor college may be a deal-breaker for us. The dorm situation for non-honors seems pretty bad compared to other schools, and a totally different experience from the shiney new honors dorm. The merit aid is nice, but about 70 percent of applicants get that level of aid, and the price of the school seems marked up accoringly for for out-of-state students.

The website does say that honors college invitations could happen as late as February. Then in another place it says wait lists will be announced in March, so who knows?

DC stats a little lower that that, no honors, did get $18k per year also.

Can you say more about that? I don’t have a good understanding of what the dorms re like, if people mostly get doubles, etc.

I am one of the PP whose kid did not get honors college. A good friend did get an offer for honors college, so, I don't think an offer will be forthcoming later.

St. Mary’s College of Md! Very exciting. 1460, 4.5 wgpa. The school’s reasonable sticker price and merit (plus a good study abroad and Washington program and small classes) makes it an attractive option.

In at Vanderbilt (ED), also same day offers from SMU and Loyola Marymount. Previously deferred at U. Georgia out of state.

So thankful for this supportive thread 💕

When do they send the FA awards? My DS is interested in applying to Drexel next year but it's very $$$$.

My DS is also interested in St. Joe's. Can I ask your child's stats and what was the award amount? Congrats!
