| Did you have hanging or loose skin? How old were you and how long did it take you to lose the weight? |
| Yes, 25 but it wasn't too bad with spanks |
|
I lost 70 lbs in the last year. I'm 39 if it matters. I do not have lose or hanging skin for the most part except on my belly. But even then, I'm not sure whether that is from having a kid or being fat. I am lucky and I know it.
My face looks a lot older than it did a year ago, but I don't care. I am much healthier. |

Yes. The most severe part of it is crepey inner thighs. I'm seriously considering surgery to remove it (and from the stomach) after I've gone more than a year at the same weight. Wearing a swimsuit with these thighs feels worse than before the weight loss!
It's also a problem when I exercise. I have to wear compression clothing or it flaps. |
| DH lost 80 and has no loose skin. I think this comes down to genetics. |
|
Not when I lost that amount of weight when I was 20 years old.
After having a child and losing 60 lbs, I have some loose skin now. When I'm standing straight up you can't really tell but when I hunch over its noticeable. |
|
I have lost 50 pounds over the past 8 months.
No loose skin. |
Me as well. and I’m almost 50. |
|
I've lost nearly 80 lbs over one year, and I'm 47 years old. I have hanging skin on my neck, arms and a little on my tummy.
It's worth it. |
| PPs...please share how you lost all this weight! I need to lose 70 pounds and am desperate. |
|
OP I am sorry you are feeling desperate about your weight loss. I do not have quite as much to lose but I have recently lost 15 pounds and wanted to share what worked.
The bad news is it really is about eating less. But as I see it, this is also the good news because while weight loss is not easy, it is simple. You dont have to follow rules of any fad diet you just have to find a way where you can consistently, steadily eat less. Some people have great luck giving up snacks (which can easily double ones caloric intake), or cutting usual portions in half. For me, what worked was a modified version of intermittent fasting: no breakfast, normal lunch and minimal dinner (think veggies or a soup). What I like about intermittent fasting is that you always have a big meal to look forward to. Also, I find it's true that it is easier to not eat than to eat just a little, easier to skip meals. The other things I would say is that weight loss is hard continuous work. It's like a job. Working out every day and eating minfully. So, if you have the luxury of treating it like a job, go for it. And finally, don't embrace a failing plan. Find something that works for you, even if the weight loss is slooowwww. Best of luck to you. |

To count it as fasting must you not drink water, take a pill or drink coffee ( black no sugar)?
I take daily thyroid medicine that must be two hours from a meal; so if I finish eating at 6pm,and take pill at 8pm must I wait 12 hours from taking that pill? Or from the meal? |
How did you guys lose this weight? I'm trying everything and the scale doesn't budge. |
You can't honestly be that dumb. Really. |
| I've lost 50+ lbs now twice, first time before my wedding and second time after the birth of my daughter. No lose skin, BUT I was also weightlifting/doing toning exercises so I looked toned and I think the muscle helped shape the skin. I still have some flab on my arm and lower stomach, but I am pretty sure I would of had that even if I wasn't heavy to begin with. |
