When people wont stop asking when your going to have #2

Been trying for a while- just a vent- can people stop asking when you are going to have another...

For fcking real. I say "eventually". It's enough of a non answer that people don't push further.

My most recent response was that we'd be trying again as soon as I recovered from my ectopic and were cleared for another frozen embryo transfer. The person actually apologized for asking.
I sort of felt bad about it, because I'm not usually so blunt but, after years of infertility just to get DC#1, I'm really over all the questions regarding my reproductive life.

They stopped when DC1 turned 4, but before that, I've heard pretty insensitive and hurtful comments implying that I am a bad mother and wife. We finally had DC2 when DC1 was 5.5 and believe it or not people ask us about #3

live together? when are you getting engaged?

engaged? when's the wedding?

married? when are you having kids?

one kid? when are you having another?

two kids same sex? when are you trying for a .... ?

etc.

I used to say "eventually". Now it's been so long I've switched to "Hopefully soon" with a weary look on my face to kind of gently hint that it's not really in my control at this point.

I have 3, and I get asked from time to time if I’m going to have more.

This is true. When you get pregnant with #3 they will ask "why?!" and make all these rude comments about how 3 is too many.

I think they are just trying to make small talk. Why are so many of you so angry about it and take it so personally? Seriously it’s just general chit chat. Just give a brief answer and move on.

I just say " we are trying as hard as you are wishing" to family and other well meaning people. When its just chit chat I say "O i would love to add more when the time is right."
