Urgent! Need quality in-home care in DC for infant!!!!!

Anonymous
I am returning to work and I have not been accepted in any daycares that I have been waiting on. I am actually more interested in a home-based setting. Does anyone know of any openings for infants? Anywhere in DC or even NoVa is an option.

TIA

We used an in-home day care in DC and it cost $500/week. We eventually switched to a nanny for a variety of reasons. Perhaps they are out there, but I don't think you're going to find a quality in home day care for less than a nanny share.

In home care for $500 a week for in-home care seems rather excessive to me. I have talked w/ "almost" all the daycare centers in DC (by all I mean over 100). The high range seems to be $400 per week.

I believe there was a topic last week about a daycare that had openings. It was in Bethesda ... Guiding Light or Star or something. Perhaps a good temporary solution while you keep searching for home based care?

Good Luck!

Why don't you just stay home and watch your baby instead of desperately handing him/her off to a stranger?

Sad.
