| If you pay hundred or thousands of dollars for a designer handbag you are financial stupid or insecure, or both. That's what it says about you. |
| I just have never found one worth the money—most bags are ugly or impractical or both. |
| My friend who loves Chanel has sold every bag at a profit after price increases then moved on to the next one. Sounds like you’re the one who is financially misinformed. |
She is lying. |
Well it’s a he and no, he’s not. Learn about designer bags a bit why don’t you. |
| Chanel bags are ugly and once they are used, they sell for a lot less. Wonder why you friend lies about her handbag problems. |
| I didn't know Chanel made man purses. |
They don’t he dresses as a woman but part time and still identifies as male. In fact a lot of people take very good care of Chanel and Hermès and get close to current retail (and therefore a profit over previous prices) when they sell. There are entire forums dedicated to discussing the practice but I only personally know one person who engages in it. |
Well okay. But why do you care what I do? |
Your friend is delusional. |
If you are riding the bus and living in a cardboard box your designer bag makes you look like you are a victim of stupidity. |
But the designers thank you for giving them your hard earned money. |
Why don’t you go try to buy a black quilted lambskin leather classic jumbo double flap in excellent, babied condition for less than it cost the year it was sold and report back. |
| Cool story, OP. |
| If I saw a bus rider (gasp!) or homeless person with a designer bag I’d assume she picked it up from Goodwill. Assuming she paid $1,500 for the bag would be stupid. |
