| Teachers what do you enjoy most about teaching? |
| The last day of school + summer. |
| Summers off, long break at Christmas |
| I love when students finally "get" reading. One of my 1st grade ESOL students went up multiple levels in a short period of time and now that she knows how to read, it's all she wants to do. I love seeing that excitement and pride. |
The students - most of the time.
|
| The kids. Watching them learn, mature, and grow before my very eyes throughout the year. Some I get to teach in more than one class (I teach English and drama). I also teach mostly 9th grade, which, to be honest, is a pretty magical age somewhere between childhood and young adulthood. |

The end of the year in first grade when I compared the work the kids are doing with what they did the first week of school. Nothing as satisfying as that. Would make me decide to give it one more year. |
| The kids. I teach high school, and they are funny, smart, hard working, caring, authentic human beings. It is a pleasure to watch them learn and grow. |
| Kids are much better people than adults, for the most part! |
| The kids, mostly. My colleagues. Summers don't hurt. |
This! I love my kids the majority of the year. But when senioritis kicks in, I'm as ready to see the seniors gone as they are ready to be gone. Glad for the 1-2 week break from them before celebrating their graduation! |
| My students. I teach middle school. They are hilarious, earnest, genuine humans. Love my subject too, but the kids make me laugh everyday! |
| When the students all graduate. |
| Seeing the growth the kids make. Beginning of the year first grade is so different than end of year. I’m so proud of them! |
This. I also love myjob most when given freedom. Bad administrators can kill a teacher’s morale. Switching from public to private was the best decision I made as a teacher. |
