Do Montgomery County elementary schools - specifically Bannockburn, Carderock Springs, Bells Mill, and Bradley Hills - have class ranks for each grade depending on each students' year end grades? Do they set criteria on how students become an "honor roll" students? And if so, how do they treat the students who make it into the honor roll - i.e., do they have recognition days or something similar? D

But without it how will I know if my child is winning?

Ours doesn't. I've heard that middle schools in the area have honor rolls, though.

If your child makes it into CES/magnets. That's what it's all about around here.

If there's no honor roll and they don't make CES, what kind of magnet will I be able to display on the back of my car so people don't think my child is a total loser?

You have to wait till Middle School..but then about 75% of kids are on it any given semester.

I’m sticking with WOM (Worlds Okayest Mom) in one of those white oval magnets.

If 75% are on the honor roll then they are pushing those kids enough. Harder, faster children of MontCo before you are eclipsed!

The standard is very low...3.0 with 1 C allowed as long as it is balanced by an A
