How much do you spend on food per month?

Including groceries, work lunch (if you take out), restaurants, coffee shops?

Groceries $550 a month
Eating out $150-200 (dinner usually $35-50 once per week or pizza/Chinese in the same week)

DH works from home so makes his lunch and I bring mine to work except 1-2 times a month.

Oops - should have added, family of 4 - kids are 4 and 12, we buy 2 gallons of almond milk a week which is like $20 of the weekly groceries.

Wow I'm impressed. For groceries, do you shop at Aldi's, TJ, etc. and coupon/search for sales? Our food spending is outrageous so I'm trying to figure out how to scale it back. One Costco trip alone is over $200.

Minimum $1200 a month for groceries, some months $1500. 2 teenage boys, who between them go through a gallon of organic milk a day. Plus me and DH!

The boys eat 5 meals a day! Breakfast, lunch, after school (more of a meal than snack), dinner, and after practice meal (both are athletes).

A ridiculous amount. We eat out almost daily.

Around $1000.
Family of 2 adults and 4 kids ranging from 8 months - 10 years old.
We are vegetarian and pack all lunches. All breakfasts and dinners are cooked from scratch at home aside from once or twice a month take out. It feels like a huge expense I know will only increase as our kids get older.

$400 or so, for one adult and two small children. Light breakfasts, lots of fruit/cheese/nut snacks, and lunch is provided by my children's daycare. I manage a cafe and don't pay for coffee, and eat food from work. We eat out once or twice a month (~$50-$75).

$1000 - 2 adults and 1 toddler
We get delivery and eat out about 3x week
Buy a lot of organic
I cook a lot
