If you listen to the SOCAL pod from last week which people were asking questions. It sounded like SY was going to be coming back but nothing was guaranteed and they want to make sure to do things the right way. So I would not expect anyone to do anything in a major way for next year (25/26). Many club directors to not want to deal with the change at all so my guess is this will be a phased in process. Which will be slow and steady. Just a guess, hopefully we get some answers on Wednesday. |

Pretty clear there are preople who are very invested $$$$ in NO changes for ever.
I'm having fun at my local NL club watching the freak out. |
Many club directors want to be ahead of changes so they are trying to slow down the official announcements and implementation while their clubs position themselves to take advantage of the change. They are competitive by nature and want to win and catch others flatfooted. Expect them to try to focus on Q3 and Q4 kids at the next tryout season. |
How quickly they can recruit The new Q1 will have a big say on how they are able to compete come 26/27. Def would make sense to stockpile at this tryout and then move those kids down the year after. |
It has already begun, 2012 Q4 parent here, just waiting on our marching orders. If your club directors aren't preparing, you should find another club as the one you are at isn't serious. |
In what way is it beginning? Which club? |
We are in the Dallas area, our director has made us aware of the potential change but has been pretty cautious about saying anything more. The plan is to start integrating after the holidays. |

My daughter plays for Nor Cal ECNL club we have our 2011 7th graders practicing one day a week with the 2012 team. Same with the 2010 8th graders.
But our director said it won’t be official until Fall 26. |
| I hope ECNL will give a plan by March. If they change on 26/27, clubs will try to move Q3/Q4 players to NL teams on 25/26. |
I bet they also are starting to evaluate based on the likely future. If your club has a formal process for feedback (IDPs, etc), maybe use that opportunity to learn more (if not already) |

We have tryouts in spring so who knows how many players will still be around. Players move often.
To my knowledge we are just doing this to evaluate players but also keep practice groups controlled. The 2011 group is 20+ where the 2012 is around 16. |
There is nothing to intergrate. No changes this year. |
You are worried. |
That’s what my director is saying as well. Will be a slow roll out into Fall 26. |
| Seasons go by fast and a radical change like this will start at a min 6-8 months out. We will hear the plan soon enough. |
