Same. I'd say my pre-photo interest in the royals was mild and entirely for fun. I have long enjoyed looking at the fashion. But I barely followed the whole Harry and Meghan thing. The photo incident really grabbed my attention because I can't remember the last time a high profile public person did something that strange, press wise. I don't buy most of the theories about it (she's not dead, why would they hide this, and the divorce/affair rumors are all pretty ridiculous-sounding) but I am very curious to find out how that screw up happened and think there might be some kind of underlying scandal. Thus watching and waiting to see what it is, if anything.

I used to feel the same until I saw all the attacks on MM for dating/marrying Harry. I then got interested in how racist and awful British media was. I read Spare and it definitely makes me take notice of how exact the descriptions are for what is going on. Harry never bad mouthed Camilla but did say she had the most cunning PR team at her disposal (compared to the other royals). It's true there is never a negative story about her. They also trade stories with the press (you can post this if you kill that). Kate's PR is either turning on her or letting someone with less smarts and more power call the shots. The photo wasn't just edited here and there or to switch prints, they put Kate's face in from a magazine cover she had been in, so that makes it a bit wilder than a few blurry bits.

It’s not about the BP per se. it’s about the idea that a formal and respected intuition releases a statement and you reject it for no reason other than distrust in said institution.
