| My Bio teacher was arrested for shoplifting a few weeks ago. She is a fantastic teacher, will she be able to teach again? We have had random subs the last couple weeks. |
Guess renaming the school "Justice" happened at exactly the right time. |
| It probably depends on how much she stole. Grand larceny I doubt she comes back. |
| Stuart mom here and this pisses me off. The school has said nothing other than the teacher was on leave. A few weeks before the IB exam and SOLs this happens. |
Maybe if they paid teachers more... |
She probably would have stolen still. I doubt she did it for necessity. |
|
Another Stuart parent here. Her police report says petite theft which is a misdemeanor. Ms. Kerrigan is very nice and my daughter loves her. I hope this was just a one time mistake and does ruin her career. |
| I’m sorry, but teachers who shoplift need to be shown the door. How can they possibly object if their students cheat when they steal? Bye, girl. |
Lots of people get second chances. Even teachers, although maybe parents might make her job difficult if they tell their children not to respect her. |
It's called a second chance. If kids like her and they are learning it doesn't make sense. |
Poor role model. Penny doesn’t seem like the type to tolerate teachers with criminal records. |
| Penny loves Ms. Kerrigan though. She was also nominated for teacher of the year last year. |
The fact she hasn't been there since she got arrested is all you need to know. She won't be back. The school should be keeping parents in touch. |
Like the teacher who pulled off the student's hijab? |
