It's not better weather! It's so much more humid in Broward. It's disgusting there.

MoCo because of job in DC.

DC. Still here.

After 9 years in NYC, DC felt like a vacation - much cheaper (I save so much more money in DC), less crowded, less of an exhausting grind, better weather, cleaner, and better for a person's mental health.

+1. I’ve saved a significant amount here and also built a lot of equity. Friends in NY seem to be in the same place. Making a lot but not saving and still renting.

Same. I work for the feds. Grew up in the NYC suburbs and then NYC. Parents still live in Manhattan.

I live in Arlington. Moved the day that a dead body landed outside my window in Manhattan.

What does this mean?? Taxes on real estate in manhattan are relatively low. NYC is expensive more because of the demand for housing as opposed to policies. DC will become more expensive if demand continues to increase.
