How about LCPS?

FCAG has not posted that information. Don't know if they have FOIA'd it.

Very nice showing by Luther Jackson with 23 admits (the most ever, I believe) and the 4th-highest admission rate by percentage after Longfellow, Kilmer, and Carson.

There was an earlier thread on this with a link to the admission data by middle school. But for unknown reasons, the thread has gone missing. I would like to see admission from the non-FCPS middle schools, such as privates and arlington/Loudon

Interesting that the principal at Glasgow is a former TJHSST administrator, yet the Glasgow AAP center apparently can’t place more than five kids at TJ.

The principal has nothing to do with TJ admissions. At LJ, there is zero encouragement or discouragement about TJ. It's all about the kids and parents.

I hope they release the list of all middle schools, including Loudoun and the other counties. Did they ever release the full list for class of 2021 (last year's admissions)?

The percentage is not of applicants, I assume. Carson had a lot more applicants than longfellow. It must be percentage of admitted students.

I think you are right, although I'd say it a little differently.

It is the percentage of applicants for a given school.

So that means the Carson rate, for example, is the rate of admittance for the applicants from Carson.

It can't be the percentage of admitted students in total since the percentages listed exceed 100%.

Right (i.e., the highest percentage of students applying from any FCPS middle school admitted was at Longfellow, followed by Kilmer, Carson and then Jackson).

It really looks like they have quotas. Some of the numbers are exactly the same from year to year.

Wow I’m shocked that Cooper is so low. I’m sure there are a lot of disappointed McLean parents.

No, that’s not the most logical explanation for similar numbers.

Remember that this class of AAP 8th graders were allowed to choose between Longfellow and Cooper. So many cooper base kids
Would be in the Longfellow numbers. I’m sure next year will be different.
